Pharmacy Technician Training Is Not Easy
Training to be a pharmacist is not an easy feat. You must learn all there is to know about medicine, the proper dosages, which medicines go with other medicines and which ones absolutely do not, and anything else that enables you to do your job correctly. All pharmacy technician careers are very technical and there is not very much room for error. All it takes it giving someone the wrong medicine or the incorrect dosage and you could potentially harm or kill that person. That is a huge responsibility and that is why pharmacy technician training is so difficult but necessary.
After taking the above into account, the best thing to remember is not to worry. You are going to be taught everything you need to know so that you can do your job, while also speedily getting all those prescriptions ready for your customers.
When you take training such as this, it really makes you admire those pharmacists who can be so accurate and quick at the same time as they whittle their pharmacy line down customer by customer until the last one is gone.
This entire process entails getting the script from the customer, contacting the doctors office, making sure the prescription has not already been filled elsewhere, counting out the prescription, bottling it up and then selling it. That is a lot of work for just one customer.
Now imagine you have a hundred customers or more each day. You can see why you really need to pay attention to your training courses if you hope to be a good pharmacist.
When you are done with the pharmacy technician education, however, you will be well prepared to take on any pharmacy and you will be able to earn a healthy living in the process. That makes going through the training, even though it is difficult, well worth it.
